Jennifer Hudson's New Pixie Cut: Love It?

jennifer hudson largerennifer Hudson knows how to belt out a song. She knows how to work her way around a movie set. And, the former "American Idol" certainly knows a thing or two about knocking them dead on the red carpet.

It was the former that had tongues wagging -- and heads turning -- on Saturday night at the "Black Girls Rock" event in New Jersey.

And boy did she.

Debuting a brand new hairstyle -- courtesy of stylist to the stars Cesar Ramirez, 32 year-old Hudson walked the red carpet in a figure flattering LBD, sky-high black boots and a perfectly complementary makeup look. On hand to perform at a BET performance that's set to air on November 3, Hudson seemed to have been toying with the idea of going short since having shown off less length at August's MTV "Video Music Awards" (not that anyone took notice of anything other than a certain nekkid mouse with a foam finger that night).

Of his new style for one of his favorite Clients, Ramirez took to Twitter to shout out his approval, saying, "My latest creation the #PixyCut on #JeniferHudson #newdo #werq #haircut #fashion #style #BlackGirlsrock #BET."

I'm loving this style on her -- she certainly has a pretty enough face to pull off such a striking look and I think a change, will do her good.

What say you? Perfect pixie or miss the longer hair?

Yeezy compares Kim to Michelle Obama…

Michelle ObamaKanye brags about his booKIM. It’s not a Kanye interview unless he makes at least one jaw-dropping statement. This time the outspoken rapper decided to compare his wife-to-be, Kim Kardashian, to the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest, Yeezy proclaimed, "There’s no way Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be on the cover of Vogue. She’s like the most intriguing woman right now. She’s got Barbara Walters calling her like everyday," He went on to add, "And collectively, we’re the most influential with clothing. No one is looking at what [Barack Obama] is wearing. David Beckham: I have so much respect for Sir Alex Ferguson

David Beckham says he is "committed to growing" football in the United States after selecting Miami as the location for the Major League Soccer team he intends to set up.
Beckham, speaking at a digital book signing, also has "nothing negative to say" about Sir Alex Ferguson and has "so much respect" for the former Manchester United manager after the Scot made critical comments in his recent autobiography.
The 38-year-old's option to purchase a franchise is believed to be part of the financial package he negotiated when he joined LA Galaxy in 2007 as a player.

Pantilimon gives Manuel Pellegrini Manchester City selection dilemma

Costel Pantilimon
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is undecided who will start Saturday's Premier League game against Norwich in goal after Costel Pantilimon's display in Wednesday's win over Newcastle.
Pantilimon made two fine saves as City won the Capital One Cup tie 2-0 - their first clean sheet in seven games.
Joe Hart is City's first-choice keeper but England's number one has made a number of errors this season.
"Whichever keeper plays will have my support," said Pellegrini.
"Costel normally plays in the League Cup and FA Cup so it was an important game for him."
Pressed for further details about Hart's status, Pellegrini responded: "I have just told you I will think about that on Thursday."

Capital One Cup quarter-finals

Leicester v Manchester City
Stoke v Manchester United
Sunderland/Southampton v Chelsea
Tottenham v West Ham
Romanian Pantilimon was expected to come into the side for the League Cup tie at St James' Park, having played in the previous round.
But the 26-year-old did his cause no harm with a fine stop to deny Shola Ameobi in the first half and another to thwart Papiss Cisse in extra time.
That provided the platform for late goals from Alvaro Negredo and Edin Dzeko to seal a quarter-final tie against Leicester and it will give Pellegrini added confidence that his number two keeper could step in if needed.
Hart has been criticised after several high-profile errors, most notably in City's game against Bayern Munich in the Champions League earlier in October and in England's victory over Scotland at Wembley in August.
The Chilean boss said of Pantilimon: "He always has my trust and the trust of all the team - that is why he is here.
"He is a good player and is not playing too much because Hart played this year and last year but I trust him and for him and for the whole team to keep a clean sheet after six games is very important."
Scorer Dzeko added: "He was great. He is working hard in training. This is the second game in the League Cup where he didn't concede goals so he is definitely improving."

THE LOCUST SEASON TWO Dear JB reader,Am only written this article to correct social ills and not condem or judge anyone please. Thanks It's no longer strange this days in news,to hear different stories of people looting public funds, wasting the resources that's meant for the whole country directing it to their private account, spending it selfishly, taking it outside the country to store up their treasure. "The new saying now is,"one man's gain is another man's loss"as against our culture of communism in Africa which is "All for one and one for all". When a Prof once told his students that they are a wasted generation;it would have been sweet for someone to stand up to ask such Prof some question like, 1.When he was very young,he enjoyed free education, decent education and a lot of freebies and the world was better. This is pointing to the fact that their parents had good plans for them but why would anyone blame the youth of today for what we are presently experiencing. They(our leaders)are so selfish, they have no plans for the present and the future generation;but yet they regard us as wasted generation. Are we truely that? We are in the locust season and everything being devoured with nothing left over. Our resources are enough to please every of us both still many are still experiencing poverty. Will this continue to be? It all depends on the youth to make the positive impart to make such decisions that they we do all it takes to make the future be generation proud of us.We must stand for what is right. We must have a right thinking and stop corruptions for the locust season while and it will pass away but when and by who?.Thanks

UNBELIEVABLE: I Have 168 Kids, Says African China

African China: Says he had 168 children from different women
This may sound incredible but popular music artiste, Chinagorom Onuoha, better known as African China, insists he had 168 kids from different women before he got married.
Speaking with P.M.NEWS Sunday in FESTAC Town, Lagos, western Nigeria, Onuoha disclosed that he is not a sex-freak but he was unable to turn down sexual advances from his teeming female fans.
Onuoha, who sometime ago was involved in a sex scandal in the United Kingdom, said he decided to accept the pregnancies because he did not want the ladies to abort the pregnancies.
“It is not that I enjoy running after the opposite sex, but as a star, I always find them around me and there is no way I can just chase them away. As a matter of fact, I have an option of telling the ladies to abort the pregnancies but I know the Holy Bible is against such.”
African China: Says he had 168 children from different women
Raised in the slum of Ajegunle, Onuoha said he wonders why people castigated hip hop artiste, Innocent Idibia, better known as Tuface, for having children from different women.
With the sex scandal still haunting him, Onuoha warned people who may want to bring his hard earned reputation into disrepute to be prepared for war.
“My brother, some people may want to use the sex scandal against me but they do not know that they may incur the wrath of the law because I have been certified clean by a competent law court in the United Kingdom. Such people would pay through their nose,” he said.
Commenting on how he is being perceived by his fans for fathering 168 kids, he noted that he bears no grudge over their reactions as he owes them no apology.
On his sudden disappearance from the music scene, he said he didn’t go off the music circuit but had been in the studio working on a new album that is about to be released.
According to him, “I’m not finished yet, I am still in the music industry. My fans who want to see more of me can come to Ibiza Nite Club where I anchor a show.”
He urged his fans to be prepared for his latest album as it would rock their world and the entire music industry.
“It is not as if I’m boasting but I have dedicated so much of my time and energy to it because I have already set a standard and that standard will not drop but will continue to rise because I am born to sing and entertain people.”

Models Are Not Lesbians

Grace Onuoha, a model, actress, fashion designer and the current Miss Eko, tells ABIMBOLA OBATAYO about her career and how she copes as a student of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, NIJ
Grace Onuoha, Miss Eko
Grace Onuoha, Miss Eko
How was growing up like?
I will say it was quite challenging. I am not from a well-to-do family, so growing up, for me, was challenging.
Give us an insight into how you started your modelling career…
I started my modelling career in 2008, a day after my birthday precisely. I was just 17 years old then. I went with my sister for an audition because the previous day was my birthday, so she decided to take me out with her for the audition. We got there and I saw girls like me and I decided to take part. I was interviewed and then I was chosen. I didn’t even expect it because I went there for fun. So two days later, I was called upon that I have been chosen. I was asked to report to the camp that they were going to train us. That was how I began.
Which outfits/designers have you worked for?
I have modelled for Zizikado, Itien Bassy, Modela Couture, Mood Couture and for myself, Great Grace Collection. I have modelled for some designers whose names I can’t even remember.
Were you paid when you started modelling?
Yes, I was well paid. That was what encouraged me to go into it fully.
Did you really love modelling or was it circumstances that led you into it?
I have always wanted to be a top model right from when I was a kid. I think I was four years old when I said I wanted to be on TV, that I wanted to be a broadcaster, I wanted to be everything that has to do with broadcasting. While growing, I liked Genevieve and Agbani Darego, so I have always wanted to be a model.
Did your parents support your?
Yes, very much. They were really in support even before I started modelling; I had acted in some films. My first movie was done in my secondary school. The production team came to my school to pick people that will act and then I was chosen and I played the lead role in the movie. My parents really liked it because they knew that was what I wanted to do, even right from when I was young. I participated in a lot of church activities like drama and debates, so they already knew what I wanted to be. They have always been in support, they provide me with clothes and all that I need, even when I wanted to contest for Miss Majoss, I was about 7 years old then, but my parents provided all I needed, taught me what to say and how to say it. When I was in the secondary school, I contested again and won. So they have always been praying for me, showing me all their support.
How have you been able to combine education and modelling?
I chose a part-time programme because of my modelling career, so none of them is disturbing the other.
What modelling competitions have you won so far?
A lot of them and I am going to start from my primary school. I won Miss Majoss International School and while in secondary school, I won Miss Majoss International College, and after my secondary school, I went for Instant Beauty Queen on Soundcity and I won. I was Miss NIJ in 2011 and Miss Eko 2012.
Apart from the car you won, what other things did you get from the Miss Eko pageantry?
Well, I was supposed to be given N2 million and a jeep, they have been paying me in instalments. I would say I’ve been paid but still expecting my balance and I was supposed to have a year contract with women affairs and poverty alleviation and also to do some things with the Commissioner for Sports. I was also supposed to be on a monthly salary but I have not seen any of that yet, I am still hoping.
What are the challenges since you became a professional model?
I wouldn’t want to say it is very easy, but compared to other people and other stories I have heard, I think it’s been quite rosy for me. I won’t say it’s because of my beauty or anything; it’s by the grace of God because I have always been chosen at most of the auditions that I have attended. Maybe it was just a few that I was rejected, which I felt was normal for some obvious reasons. But many auditions that I went for, I was chosen. I have been getting money from modelling and it’s been very good for me.
Have you been given any endorsement deal since you became Miss Eko?
Yes, I have done an advert for Emily. I did for Best Lube Oil, Gentle Touch and some I can’t remember.
How have you been able to handle the fame?
For me, it’s like my normal everyday life. It’s like a continuation of me not being Miss Eko. Well, there’s something special about me being a queen and having a car but I still see people as the way they’ve always been, my friends are still my friends. I also have my privacy even as a queen and everybody is still what they are to me. The fame has not changed anything.
What other things do you do aside modelling?
I do fashion designing, and like I said, I also market other things. I sell what I make. I make accessories and Ankara shirts.
How have you been able to cope with the opposite sex?
Well, it’s been the same. It’s normal for guys to want to come around when they know this girl is now made but I’m too wise to be fooled by people pretending to be friends when they are not. The best time to know when people love you is when you’re nobody. The people that I have in my life now are those that have always known me. So, these guys coming around to ask me out are like they’ve always known me but don’t have the courage to walk up to me. But I still make them understand that it can’t be. If it wasn’t that time then it can’t be now.
What is your take on the issue of lesbianism in the modelling world?
I don’t really know what lesbianism holds in the modelling industry. I have never experienced or seen anybody that came to me and said ‘oh I’m a lesbian’ and I have never been molested before. So, I don’t know anything about lesbianism. Models should not be seen as lesbians.
Tell us how you got into Nollywood?
It all started when I was in secondary school. They wanted to use my school as location for a movie, and because the school uniform is really nice and I was the president of the literary and debating society, I was auditioned and did very well and I was chosen. I played the role of Amina. After that, I did What Went Wrong and Wind of Change where I played Izoduwa the daughter of Patience Ozokwor. I have done other movies afterwards.
What advice will you give to upcoming models?
I will advise them to be patient; they should avoid every form of desperation because people take advantage of others when they are desperate. Then, I will also advise them to hold God tight. Anywhere I am today, any position I see myself could not have been if not for God. They should have a prayer routine and make God their only source, because if you don’t make God your only source you cannot make headway. Importantly, they should have a role model. If you know you want to become somebody; you should have someone you look up to. For instance, you want to become a top model; you look at Agbani Darego and Oluchi. You look at those that are already there and how they live their life, the way they dress, their poise, everything. My role model is Tyra Banks. I love her life, her dressing and things that she does.
What are your future plans?
Like I will always say, the future is now. My ambition is to be one of the best fashion designers in my country first and to still leave more examples to upcoming models.
How would you describe yourself?
I am a friendly person, adorable, humble and of course very intelligent. Wisdom is really embedded in me because I have the wisdom of God. I am also fun to be with and also a peacemaker.
Any regrets so far?
I don’t have any regrets. Life is good, life goes on, so, there is no energy to regret or live a life of regrets.
Are you engaged or getting married soon?
I am not ready to get married. I am someone that sets my priorities right. In fact, marriage for now is not in my top ten priorities. I still have like two to three years to give myself, to enjoy my career, to enjoy my single life. So I don’t have plans for marriage now. So, relationship right now is not in my top ten priorities either and I am not engaged.

Fake Boko Haram show up for dialogue, says minister

Nigeria’s Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Alhaji Kabiru Turaki, has said that dialogue was going on with key members of the Boko Haram sect to end the insurgency in parts of the north. He also revealed frustrations encountered with appearance of fake members of the sect whose mission was to collect money.
Turaki said this in Abuja on Tuesday when he spoke to newsmen after briefing members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the ministry`s activities.
The minister said that the situation was being handled by the Presidential Committee on Dialogue and Peaceful Resolution of Conflict in Northern Nigeria.

Shekau, third left and his gang: have they met Kabiru’s committee?

The committee, of which he is Chairman, was constituted by President Goodluck Jonathan and charged with the responsibility of bringing lasting peace to the north. He stressed that the committee was identifying and engaging key members of the sect in talks.
He, however, said the committee had been having some challenges in the course of carrying out its assignment.
Such challenges, he said, included the showing up of fake persons claiming to be members of the sect.
He said such people often showed up with a view to collecting money.
“We had seen some people who are fake members of the insurgency who had come for the purpose of getting money.
“But we had always used the instrumentality of the security agencies and information on their data bank to verify their authenticity and membership of this organisation,’’ the minister said.
The minister hinted that the report of the committee was almost completed, adding that it would be submitted to the President soon.
“About 99 percent of the assignment has been concluded and in the next few days, probably before the end of this week, we will finish the remaining one per cent.
`We will then inform the President to give us date and time to present the report.
“I would want to assure that we have been talking with genuine members of this organisation and these are people that are key as far as peaceful resolution of this matter is concerned,’’ the minister added.
Many critics doubt the usefulness of the dialogue with the sect as the sect continues to kill dozens of Nigerians in the north eastern states of Borno and Yobe.

It’s her most famous fall and it got social media buzzing at once.
Tonto Dike has found it imperative to clear the air concerning this fall following rumours  she may have been ‘drunk’ or ‘ high’ or both before hittingthe stage.
She tells Nollywood Movies Sky329 that her dress was the chief culprit followed by her shoes and then the ‘slippery’ floor.
“It was a big…well not a big fall and I managed it well. I fell because I had this very long dress, and  this very high shoe and a slippery ground, and because I wasn’t supposed to dance at my  first coming out (sic). I had another outfit I could put on to really perform if I wanted to; it was my choice but I just came on and they played the song and I just had to dance and I slipped.
I made it fun really, I got up and danced, I didn’t want to disappoint anybody especially myself. When I went back stage, I was dancing my head off.  I couldn’t go back on stage because Iyanya was on stage and it was about closing. It was all his time. Nobody went back on stage after him. I wish I went back to dance again and not fall that time.

Cyrus Suhukar who is all set to host a game show say;Kids are my loyal fan base

Cyrus SahukarFrom music shows, talent hunts to game shows you have covered a wide gambit as a host. What appealed to you about Sab Khelo Sab Jeeto
The show has an old-world charm to it. First of all, it brings families together to play simple fun games like bursting maximum balloons in one minute  — the kind we played in our childhood. So, there is a bit of nostalgia there.  I think a large part of the world is going back to the old school. Whether it’s music or films, people have had a crazy overdose of loud drama and action. They want gentility.
Also, with phone, internet, etc, pervading our daily lives, we don’t have the time to sit together with our friends or family. This show helps do that. Also, it’s not about winning or losing, it’s about letting your hair down. Actually, it’s like being on a picnic. I have shot for one episode and coordinating with the six families is quite taxing, but fun. It will be visually funny too.

Of the shows that you have done on TV, which has been your favourite?

I really enjoyed playing offbeat characters. I used to do a show called Kickass Mornings in which I played over 25 characters. My favourite was Paromita — an attractive woman, she had come to India to become an actress. She was also an offbeat musician who had cut an album on diseases. I also loved playing the child’s character in Bechaare Zameen Par (a spoof on Taare Zameen Par).
However, my best character was the one I played in the film Delhi 6. I got to essay a sleazy photographer, Suresh. I guess I have this creepy look so it fit well!

You are also popular with kids...
Yes, they are my loyal fan base. I hosted 350 episodes of this Japanese show Hole In The Wall. It’s amazing how much pleasure kids get from seeing adults fail.

On the other hand, they accept defeat far more easily and have no preconceived notions. I think at some level I connect with them. I go back to my childhood when my sister, who is 10 years older to me, would treat me like a stuffed experiment. When she and her friends wanted to play, they would leave me on top of the cupboard so that I wouldn’t mess around. But, even after they finished the game, they would leave me there because they would just forget about me!

You have played several funny characters. What makes you laugh?

Humour is subjective. I can laugh at the dumbest jokes. These days politics makes me laugh a lot. Even common people unintentionally can have me in splits. However, on TV anyone remotely funny deserves an award because there can be a lot of hits and misses. I remember Bakra was a hit because it was quite crazy and new. Also, the spoofs that I did like The Simi Girebal Show and Piddhu The Great were novel then.

What next?
I have formed a production company Humble Pie with Rhea Kapoor, which will make content exclusively for the internet. We are ready with our first crazy show — we think it’s funny — and will soon be streamed. It’s a fair bit of hard work.
