David Beckham says he is "committed to growing" football in the United States
after selecting Miami as the location for the Major League Soccer team he intends to set up.
Beckham, speaking at a digital book signing, also has "nothing negative to say" about Sir Alex Ferguson and has "so much respect" for the former Manchester United manager after the Scot made critical comments in his recent autobiography.
The 38-year-old's option to purchase a franchise is believed to be part of the financial package he negotiated when he joined LA Galaxy in 2007 as a player.
